Arnej is a Bosnian born, Canadian based trance DJ and producer. A proflific but less well known producer and remixer, Arnej's style sites at the more melodic and less full on end of the trance spectrum.

Early Years: 2004 to present

Arnej first released under the production alias 8 Wonders, with his first single ‘The Morning After’ coming out in 2004 on Somatic Sense Recordings.  Even at this early stage Arnej had hit upon the key elements of the sound he would develop over the coming years. 

In contrast to much of mainstream trance Arnej opts for softer, often more housey beats and lower tempos to create a sound which some time veers towards chill out, such as on ‘Rendezvous’ (Pilot6 Recordings 2007). 

In 2007 Arnej released ‘Sex On the Beach’ on Above and Beyond’s Anjuna Beats but by the following year he had been signed up by Coldharbour Recordings, the Markus Schulz-run imprint of Armin van Buuren’s Armada Music group. 

At Coldharbour he continued to release highly melodic, dreamy tracks such as ‘Always Come Back’ in 2008 and more recently ‘Free Of You’ in 2011.

Arnej has earned a reputation for delivering high quality and complex trance tracks with lower tempo rhythms and dreamy melodies.  A prolific remixer and producer Arnej’s profile continues to grow steadily.

Arnej was born in Sarajevo in Bosnia but moved to Canada where he is now based.
